Default aluminum half radiator swap what to do?

i have a 91 civic and need a radiator. i have seen some really nice aluminum swaps on here but no full discussion on what should be used and whats involved with doing a half radiator.

some questions i have:
are the hoses a direct swap over or do i need to resize the hoses to fit these half sized radiators?
what is the diameter of the stock hoses?
what is a duo radiator?
some are selling end tanks that are plastic. should i avoid these and go with full aluminum or does it not matter?
how is the mounting done being its only half instead of full? is there a 92 mounting hardware that would work for the radiator?
any type of welding or specific made radiator differences i should know?
i have seen some really thick radiators, being i am not racing it or tracking it do i need this?
whats a good price?
any preference on a store who sells them?

can you guys help me out by giving me advice on what to get and what to watch out for?

also pics of any swaps you have done so far would be awesome.

please search

for the most part the upper and lower should have same diameter as stock, but you may need to fabricate the length...also the half size may not sit in right without a aftermarket xmember. Please search this has been covered.

When I installed an oem dual core in my 91 crx, I had to cut a portion of the lower radiator support out, then weld a bracket in its place that hang a bit lower for the new radiator to sit in. Also had to cut a small chunk out of the cross member so the drain plug would not sit on it or hit it.

funny...I used to love my full-race radiator untill I realized that my occassional overheating problem (which is now worse) is all due to a leak in my "full-race" radiator.

update.

took out full race 1/2 radiator and it looks like it hasn't been holding up well. can't really see where it could be leaking from. anyways, installed a 92-95 radiator the car runs perfect.
