dropping a b20 in my eg, ran into a few problems, using an ls harness, connector doesnt fit in my b20 alternator so i tried an alternator off my lsvtec should i repin the connector and just use the b20 alternator any suggestions, another problem, the bitch pin in the linkage, heated it to get it out obviously but heated it and wont go back in
the alternators are obd specific. you will need the same obd alternator as the harness, and it needs to be b series. and yes a LS alternator will work fine.
The part # for B series bitch pin is 94305-80222
I just picked one up for $1.15 at my local Honda dealership.
I'm doing a B20 swap as well and I had to switch my OBD2 alternator and dizzy to a OBD1 version.
