steering wheel problem

Default steering wheel problem

whenever i turn my steering wheel it squeeks right at the wheel like it needs to be lubed or some **** when i turn it all the way like when im parking i hear the squeek coming from the steering wheel... what can i do to fix this?

CV joints.

Or possibly the belt needs adjustment/replacement.

Hard telling without having a better description.

well i have 2 new axles so i dont think its the cv joint... i looked the other day and the boot is messed up on the rack could that be it??? and is that the cv joint your talking about? i dont even know if its a cv joint... its the piece thats close to the wheel well behind the strut tower the boot is gone what u think?

nope i havent will do...... but im pretty sure its that boot thats on the rack because its free flowing if anything i'll change the ps belt also cuz ive never changed it

First you should probably pinpoint whether the noise is coming from the rack, the belt, or the pump. If you can't tell a belt noise apart from a rack noise, then you probably shouldn't touch it yourself.

If the rack is leaking, you'll need a new or remanufactured steering rack. You'd also better hope that no dirt got into the system, because it will ruin the pump.

well the sound feels like its inside the car at the actual steering wheel so dont sound like the belt to me... more like the rack but i could be wrong
