the bottom one sounds like the ground wire that goes to the top of your igniter

The plug on the other end of the dizzy wires is a shorter but wider one correct??

(opposite end to one that goes on dizzy so you know.)

how many wires did your old cap have? if it had 4 it is internal coil, if it had 5, it is external coil, and the 5th wire would go to the coil

It will not work unless you have the ignition coil plugged in.
If you have a USDM H22, you will have an external coil distributor.

that explains my h23vtec build not getting spark. Not sure if its usdm or jdm. If it has a rotor inside the distributor its a internal coil right?

All distributors utilize a rotor, man. If you're trying to start your car without the ignition coil wire plugged into the cap, it is definitely not going to start.

theres nowhere for me to plug in the ignition coil into....it must be a jdm then....distributor cam of a h23 so whatever ill try and figure it out. I bought the distrib cap from autozone....they must have gave me the wrong one. Dman that caused alot of confusion for me..lol

JDM = internal = 4 wires
USDM = external = 5 wires

If you can grasp the hybrid 22/23 engine, you should be able to hand this...
