Default Problem with 92-95 dashboard vents?? Won't stay in place?

I've been having a problem with my new car (93 DX Coupe) for a while now.

When it's hot outside, the dashboard a/c vents will flop around and blow the air up towards the ceiling. So I'm sitting there sweating not feeling any air flow whatsoever. When I adjust them down, they won't stay. It's like they are counter-weighted on the backside and are too heavy to stay in position.

But when the inside of the car eventually cools off, or when the outside air temperature is cool, they will magically stay in place wherever I want them to be. Of course, by this time I don't necessarily need the air blowing me right in the face.

Does anybody else have this problem? What is your solution? EG dash vents aren't exposed like some other Hondas like Accords and what not, so I can't put any paper in there in a corner to make them stay how I want.

I don't remember having this issue with any of my other EG's, but it's been so long ago that maybe I'm just forgetting.

I don't know what it's called but OEM vents have some sticky gel type stuff on the pivot points that hold it in place. you may try to find that stuff.
