Ok i am now in the process of purchasing my motor. I have my heart set on the B18c gsr engine. I have a 98 Hatchback so that means that my car is a obd2a. Now does it matter if i get a obd1 or obd2b gsr engine...besides repinning a few wires?

Heres the list i came up with so far for the swap

Complete Engine from H Motors
96-98 ex 5spd engine harness
Hasport Mounts

Am i missing anything or overlooking something?

 

you probably should get OBD2 because its less hassle and if you live in California, it will be a major headache to get it BAR

 

yeah, you should get a OBD2. it would be easier on you. if you go OBD1, your gonna have to change injector clips, re-wire or by a harness for the dizzy, change the alternator plug, ECU jumper harness, ect, ect.... its a hastle. just go with the obd2 GSR swap and you should be fine

 

although its not that much harder to convert it to OBD1

 

another question...what about the motor mounts? I've looked at the hasport website and they dont have one for the b series to 96-00 civic. Am i missing something here?

 

How hard is this swap if i dont have the ex engine harness?
