Default Obd2 dizzy to obd1

Hey guys i have a 1992 civic hatch and i just bought a 1997 gsr swap and its going to be my first swap, so the whole motor is obd2 and the guy that sold it to me gave me a obd1 ecu, but here is my question i have researched and got answers that i would need a obd1 dizzy and injectors? But i found this http://msdignition.com/Products/Acce...I_to_OBDI.aspx would this work and be able to complete the swap with this instead of by a new dizzy? And if i can use this is this all i would need? Thanks

save yourself a ton of time and wiring by getting an obd2 integra engine harness

did you read over the link i posted? it pretty much explains exactly what you need to do to put an obd2 engine in your obd1 car. including why you should use an obd2 integra engine wiring harness

That's the whole point of using the OBD2 Integra harness, it enables you to use an OBD2 distributor, alternator and injectors without cutting and splicing or buying OBD1 components.

^^^beat me to it

with the obd2 integra harness you do not need to convert anything on the engine to obd1. the harness will plug right up to the dizzy, alt, etc. while still being plug and play with your obd1 chassis harness

Ideally run a Del Sol VTEC or '99 - '00 Civic Si rad. You can use the original civic rad but you'll need adjustable gear style hose clamps. You could use the Integra full rad but i'm pretty sure you wont be able to run A/C with it in a Civic chassis.

As for the A/C use a '94 - '95 Del Sol VTEC A/C bracket or one from a '97 - '01 CR-V. Do not use the Integra compressor. Using the brackets I just mentioned will allow you to keep the original Civic A/C compressor (you don't even need to disconnect the lines, simply swing the compressor out of the way and tie it up with some wire or ty wraps while doing the engine swap)

Besides the radator would it be better to just take everything from the power steering off of the gsr motor since my eg doesnt have power steering

Yes. The Integra rack is quicker than the Civic P/S rack anyway, you'll also need the Integra subframe and the lower universal joint from the steering column.

Was about the P/S but I misread your post I think. I thought what you were saying was taking the P/S components (lines, rack, pump etc) from the integra and swapping it onto the civic. I'm sensing now what you're saying is you want to remove the pump and bracket and not run any P/S, either will be fine.

That rad is just a normal civic rad, it's got the small inlets. I'd keep the rad you have (unless it's really bad) or hold out for something better.

Majestic Honda. '97 - '01 CR-V works and is cheaper than the Del Sol bracket.

You can add it later, but it's a lot easier with the engine bay empty.

vtec wiring is already run from the ECU to the shock tower plugs on '92 only civics, so if you used an engine harness from a car with vtec you wont need to wire it, you will need to wire knock and IABs though.

Yes, all '92 Civics (that one year only) are prewired for vtec from the ECU to the shock tower plugs.
