Car was broken into. Questions on ignition
Alright, so last friday my car was broken into while I was at work. From the looks of it, they initially tried to steal my car, but failed. So their next option was to take out my head unit, but leave the face in the car. Mind you, this was in a fairly busy town center, and the thief was seen by some people I know. That aside, I'm needing some help on putting my car back together. Below are some pictures I took in my garage (we all know pictures generate more hits):
I know I have to replace the ignition cylinder, which I located from Sons Acura: Click
On the page, however, there are two part numbers for the key cylinder kit. Is there any difference between the two? If so, which should I order?
Aside from that, is the process of installing it pretty straightforward? I've searched through the archives and haven't had much success.
Thanks.

Just realized I was looking at the wrong parts
I found the assembly on Sons Acura: Click

Actually, it wasn't that bad initially. When I first tried to start my car, it wouldn't turn all the way, so it was apparent then that the theif tried to jam something in to turn the car on. We had to strip the ignition for that reason, so that I could drive my car home using a screwdriver.

Hey sorry to hear that this happened. To answer your questions, installation is very straight foreward. Anyone can figure it out. Also don't spend a lot of $$ because all of the parts can be had from ebay. Once you get the ignition it is very easy to pull out the "guts" and switch them over to your replacement so that your original keys work. Just one last tip, you will probably need a new steering column. The wheel lock come out of the cylender and into the column. When they broke your cylender off the force probably bent the column. If this is the case, they are all over ebay and are also very easy to change out. Good luck.
