Default Injector Rail Clogg?

Simplified version bolded at bottom

I'm trying to sell my '95 EX Coupe - it's 100% stock and since day 1 it's been throwing this damn soft code CEL for the fuel supply system.

It's NOT every day, it's usually on humid days and temperature doesn't seem to have an effect - it came on 3x or so this week, and before that it didn't come on in like 2 months... It's just being a pain in the ***. It's a 100% soft code as it only happens once (whatever it is that's happening) b/c as soon as u turn the key "off" then "on" right quick it doesn't come back (though of course it stays in memory). Then as long as the engine's warm it doesn't come back on unless another ICE COLD start in humid weather.

I've replaced:
- Fuel pump filter
- firewall fuel filter
- fuel line from the filter to the rail (with all new washers)
- fuel pressure regulator (have a THIRD one on there with a cut off B&M cap on it adjusted perfectly mid range in the STOCK OEM SPECS.

Now, I've also been getting weird gas mileage. Sometimes I get like 28 around town, but lately my highway mpg has been **** - what used to be 36mpg is now ~26mpg. The only thing I can think of is an injector is getting hung up. I doubt it's the pump b/c the fuel pressure is always 100% normal (had a gauge on it for awhile).

o I NEED TO SELL this car, it's NOT breaking up, misfiring, underpowering, running rich, running lean, or doing ANYTHING to suggest that there's something wrong - but obviously something is b/c it shouldn't be getting that bad gas mileage + if everything is right it won't throw a CEL...common logic...

So I like, NEED to sell this car by like sept 3rd (before I move back up to college) and obviously a CEL is a bad selling point - and even if it's something simple, it's kinda hard explaining to a mind that may not be mechanically inclined that there's really nothing wrong . So I wanna pick up a set of injectors for it - 106 new for a set from slhondaparts - probably even cheaper at hondapartsdeals.com - but the rail is 159 and I really don't wanna spend any money on it - so what this basically boils down to is, is there really any chance that this problem is the fuel rail?

Can a fuel rail get clogged or jammed or something to make A) bad gas mileage, SOMETIMES, and B) throw a CEL, SOMETIMES??

I just wanna buy the damn injectors and hope that's the problem b/c I'm broke as **** and wanna unload this, fast. If I buy new injectors and the problem persists - I'ma be flipping **** - though I really don't think there's any more components of the fuel system that can cause this problem, is there?

It's a code 43 - Fuel Supply System
'95 EX - 107k - 100% stock.

pulse damper-i think that is what it is called.
have you listened to the injectors? long screw driver
look at the screens on the injectors.
drain gas tank-if it is filled with rust, you just fucked up all that **** you changed.
could be fuel pump.
hope it helps

i would try used injectors before i spent 109.00 on new.

No, I haven't listened to the injectors - the frequency of the occurance is too rare, and it only happens for a split second to throw the CEL - don't even need to stop, as soon as I flip the key off then back on the CEL's off. So it's happening for a split second, no longer.

The gas tank isn't rusted...and nothing's jamming up the parts I've changed....

I'm talking about the fuel rail...that's it...

EDIT:
Other than the CEL and bad gas mileage, there's ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to suggest there's anything wrong with the system, no breakups, no underpower, no running rich, no running lean, it's running like a top, that's why I'm thinking an injector's getting hung up .

You may have been looking in the wrong areas, as Code 43 can also be the primary O2 sensor, not just fuel supply system.

Have you at anytime run your gas tank down to almost empty? Friend of mine did so on his Integra Type R, the fuel line sucked up whatever rust/debris settles in the bottom of the tank, clogging all of his injectors. Threw everything out of whack and he had to replace them.

I suppose that's possible, I didn't think of that. I think I might change the injectors before I change the O2 sensor though. I gotta sell it, but like I said, it's hard to explain to somebody that the problem is minimal when there's a CEL on....it might never come on...and like this week it came on like 4x.

Random *** ****.

No, I'm generally not one of those retards that run their gas tanks near empty so you manage to suck up all the dirt and **** at the bottom.

i highly doubt the fuel rail will have **** clogged up there. Thats what fuel filter is for. But try having the injectors cleaned and balanced by a shop or if you have another set try to see if the codes goes away. The last thing i can think of is the fuel pump or the relay that's going bad.
