did i need to?
how come my tranny shifts wayyyyy easier if i didnt need to do it?

ehh it doesnt matter if your body is a few pints of blood off we didnt want to bother with putting the iv back in your arm

jk btw

edit: id personally top it off- its only going to cost you a few more bucks versus breaking your tranny- it all comes down to whether or not you think its worth the risk

well i was using vice grips and it was on hard, right after driving when it was hot and i was burning my hand on the coolant fluid...so i used a ratchet to hammer the bolt off...took bout 5-10 minutes....just make sure your car is cooled off before hand so u dont burn urself

Keep in mind the tranny won't take all of the necessary fluid if the car is at an angle (as in the front is lifted but the back is resting on the ground). You need it level, put jackstands on all four corners and then top off the fluid.

ok, i got alot of information from alot of ppl i know and it is said that you don't want to top it off because having too much will cause your shift points to be wayyy wirse as far as smoothness because the tranny gears will be flooded with lubricant because of not enough air pressure(no air if you put straight fluid in there)

air doesnt lubricate. i topped mine off. and ive done it twice since i got my car 6 months ago. also the bolt isnt that hard to get off, i just use a long *** ratchet or breaker bar, and lower the car on it. works like a charm.

i think he's saying that if you top it off then the tranny its going to have a hard time pushing the fluid? (which really doesnt make sense) i really dont understand it.

im just going to go with the oem 2.3 quarts ftw

yea imma leave it at 2 from all that i am hearing and no, air does not lubricate the gears but provides pressure for the fluid that does
