Oil in the intake?
I pulled off my cai to change my speedo cable and I noticed a lot of oil in the throttle body and in the intake its self.
Anypne have any input?
I do have a tube coming from the breather on the valve cover going to the intake pipe likes its supposed to be.
Is this normal?
Thanks is advance,
Scott

Yes. It is your PCV valve.
Check the hose connecting it and make sure it is not collapsed also.
With the PCV not working the only way the vapors/venting can go is thru the breather and into the CAI/throttlebody.

Well yes and no.
The yes part is that it will effect gas mileage.
The no part is no it won't. But it is designed to pull the oil vapors out of the motor and not have them pushed out into the CAI.
Now if the breather gets plugged then you will blow oil past your seals and this is bad. The PCV valve is a cheap part, why would you not fix it right?

I re-routed my crank case ventilation on my truck to my exhaust (keeps the intercooler boots fresh) - is it possible to re-route them on these cars? Would it be worth it?
