I'd say it's worth it to have it.

And keep in mind, you say you want to run 7-8 psi or the mimimum level set on the MBC. The MBC can't be set any lower than the wastegate spring, so that will dictate your mimimum boost level

No just use the stock one.

RC injectors don't like higher fuel pressure anyway. It even says that on them when you get them.

People have made over 600whp with the stock FPR.

Ok I want to make the minimum that my wastegate will allow (8.70).....Will the stock fpr hold up? Especially if I'm only trying to get like 240-250whp??

I know it's either yellow with a a black stripe or black with a yellow stripe.

I've wired mine up to a switch. That way i can either let the fan turn on normally, or run it all the time during hot weather.

It's extremely easy to wire up.

the only reason you would need a fpr is if you wanted to run more pressure to get more hp from your injectors

example:
you hit 350 hp with 550 injectors and your duty cycle is at 90%

you could jump your fuel pressure up a couple psi and lower your duty cycle to something a bit less and more safely make the power

My car runs 1000% better now that I have an FPR and fuel pump as opposed to just a fuel pump.

I didn't see anyone else mention this, but it depends on which Walbro 255 Pump you purchased. If you purchased the HP version (high pressure), then you may have problems with the pressure pushing past the factory regulator. If you purchased the LP version (low pressure), then your factory regulator will be fine.

Hope that helps,

Craig

do any of the FPR's LOWER fuel pressure to accomodate for the raise in pressure caused by the Walbro?

the walbro has a more efficient flow at lower pressures so id like to run stock fuel pressure

Just get a FPR. What's an extra $120? The stock may not hold constant fuel pressure when going on boost and you might have a hard time tuning. With a higher flow fuel pump, it might also be outflown. That'sm just my opinion. I would at least put in a fuel pressure gauge so you can monitor the fuel pressure.
