Ok, I and many others I've spoken too who use either oem or aftermarket corner lights up front seem to... lose them.
They just get some wind and fly off or something. I only really notice it on the highway, I don't drive that fast on the highway in this car. So it's not like i'm doing 100+. Only time I do 100+ in the car is on an open track and it's not happened there oddly.

What I'm wondering is any one know how to stop this other then keep ebaying or junkyarding parts?

Ps... OMG Max made a tech thread

Are your slider clips in place and is the housing screwed into the headlight bracket?

Sorry Maxie, I've had my hatch for seven years and gone through 3 pairs of corners because of water leakage issues, but they never fell off.

You are lucky, my one ebay just flew off last night never had the water problem though.

Maybe if I tried a little thread locker on the screw?

Maybe your VTAK is too strong.

Wait, do you have an 88-89 or 90-91? I forget. I've never dealt with the ones that screw into the clips on the fender.

Meh, screw it. JB Weld that ish.

It has happened to me as well, the slider clips don't hold very well and the corner light just flies off at 80mph, scaring the crap out of me. I have found that using a little bit of plastic glue in the clips before sliding on the lights works well to retain them.. just don't expect to get the lights off easily.

I have heard you can buy the older style 88 versions with the screw holes, and also buy the screw-in style clips rather than the slider to convert to the 88-89 style screw type corners. I havent tried this though, since the plastic glue fixed the problem for me.

X2, but my buddy george used a Permatex adhesive/sealant from advanced to hold his like 3rd set on. I guess I am just lucky.

OMFG!!! Max made his first thread I can remember since joining. LOL

same.

90-91 sometimes fall off though, ive seen it happen on a few cars.

its usually due to missing clips, or not having the plastic backing where the screw goes into. or the backing is warped and striped so that the screw is easily puled out.

I installed the 88 lights that have the screw holes on my 90 crx and I've never had that problem and I've been really fast (115+) and they never moved.

Maybe it is the JDM Fairy coming and loosening them up. He swings in at the oddest times just to tick you off.
