possible to hydrolock?
hey h-t..well im pieceing together my turbo kit.i was just wondering if its just as likely to hydrolock by getting water in the intercooler as it is to a cold air intake...if it is...i guess theres gonna be more damage becuase its FI?
Um...
I'm confused here. Could you elaborate? This could be a case of mistaken knowledge of the function of an intercooler...

Intercoolers are a closed piece of equiptment. Its impossible. You can prevent hydrolock by not driving fast thru rain and puddles. Hydrolock is hydrolock, either N/A or FI. You can actually bend rods as a result of hydrolock. Why would you be concerned? Drive normal and you will have nothing to worry about.

Word, you can't really hydrolock your engine, with all that the water would have to bypass to get to the engine.
You're more likely to get something in your turbo. But even then chances are hella slim. You'd have to submerge something to hydro lock it.
Splashing water in it isn't going to hydrolock it.
