Default Failed Omnipower bushing. What are my options?

After having these pile of crap Omnipower LCA's on for less than a year, the bushings have **** the bed.

Are these bushings the same size as OEM? I would prefer to replace with an OEM bushing. If that isn't an option, I guess I will be looking for some OEM LCA's.

out of dumb luck i just happened to be looking at these in another window

http://store.summitracing.com/...rstop

edit: Energy Suspension Rear Trailing Arm Bushing Sets

Red Bushings are reg. Polyurethane DONT have graphite
Black Bushings are Polyurethane that have graphite in them to help keep them lubed

both colors are the same product with the exception of the graphite

Thanks.

Unless I can buy just those bushings from ES, I would rather go OEM. I just wanted to make sure that I could use OEM sized bushings or would I have to order special ones from Omnipower.

That's fine, but his trailing arm bushings are not bad, its the shock mount bushing in the rear lower control arm that is bad/pictured. Two different things. You need the rear upper and lower shock bushings (have to get uppers with the lowers in those kits). I'm pretty sure you can get the oem control arm busings specifically without the upper shock bushings.

Alright, thanks.

I'll see if I can order some OEM ones right now. If they fit, great. If not, I will be swapping LCAs with a stock pair.

aftermarket bushings will disintegrate over time, unlike oem. for a dd i'd stick with oem.

look up the post by patrick94gsr regarding his urethane shifter bushing. that thread had links to other posts with similar info; the urethane bushings don't last as long as oem. while oem ones will just shrink and soften with age the urethane will crumble.

I'm not really hot on polyurethane. I have it elsewhere and it squeaks too much. I don't think this bushing would be that affected by a stiffer bushing anyway. So, I ordered a pair of OEM bushings instead.

Thanks for the help guys.

did you take measurements to make sure that the bushings in the omni LCAs are the same size as OEM before buying the OEM ones? they very well might be different...

I've been running polyurethane shifter bushings for a couple years now. The 3" exhaust comes pretty close to them but they stand up to the heat well. I would recommend them over stock rubber ones any day.

That was really the point of this thread and my original question. There is no dealership within 300 miles, so I have to order the OEM bushings online. If I had a OEM bushing handy, I would have measured it and never made this thread in the first place.

I appreciate the help.

I don't want replacement bushings from omnipower. It would be stupid to replace this pile of crap bushing with another pile of crap bushing. Either the OEM bushing fits or I am reverting back to OEM LCA's and selling these.

my bad, the username was actually patrickgsr94. anyway, here's his thread https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1976512 . i have urethane shifter bushings and engine mount inserts and was thinking about getting all the urethane suspension bushings till i saw that thread. i'm not gonna take the chance of all the suspension bushings falling apart and having to redo everything. if the shifter bushings fall apart i'll just get new oem ones.
