HI everyone im new to honda tech, but very familiar with honda cars. I recently swapped out my d15b sohc motor and put in a obd1 b16a off a del sol . It was a complete swap with a lsd tranny. The problem is that i've been driving it for 2 weeks and my v tec wont pop. yes i let it warm up, i changed the v tec silinoid, i put a p28 chipped ecu and still; nothing.im thinking its the oil pump. i cheeked the codes and its giving me 1 short blink the a pause the 6 short ones so im guessing code 16?? not sure if im correct. Does any one know or can give me any tips?? on what the code is or what i can cheek to get my v working.

 

from what you said about the check engine light its codes 1 and 6 which is
1 O2A - Oxygen sensor #1
6 ECT - water temperature sensor

 

were can i find the 1 O2A - Oxygen sensor #1 ??

 

o2 sensor #1 is before the cat, around the header.

o2 sensor #2 is after the cat.

 

so my o2 sensor might be bad and need to be replcaed??? i have a sensor from my d15b headers will that fit or do i have to get a b sereis sensor??? its connected i wonder why that would be the problem

i just answered your question to where the sensors are located.

you say you have a code 16, that's a fuel injector code.
are you sure you're reading the flashes right?

 

no dude im not sure do u count the first one right in the beginnig when u turn the key it flashes fast like u cna barely see it ugotta be paying attention ?? after that one it pauses then it gives me 6 short ones a pause 3 long ones and 6 short ones again??? can u figure out what code it is? do they repeat over n over till u take the key out?? i might be counting the last 6 short ones twice any help would be good thanx
