Default flywheel cover?

is it ok the run your car without the flywheel cover or is it needed..probably dont want any water going up in there but are any of you running without the flywheel cover?

If you are frequently adjusting your cam gears then i would think about removing it. There are cars that run without them, and i belive its ok to do this. But you are risking getting dirt and other crap in the gears. I think there is a thread "project aries" or something like that where he has a DIY to make holes just for the cam gears and keep the guard.

Are you talking about the cover next to the oil pan on the bottom of the car? I mean isn't the flywheel on the opposite side of the engine?

keep it on.....u get water up there....clutch slippage FTL...just save urself the headache an keep it on

well i took it off to the my clutch n dont really feel like putting it back on but i guess it would be a good idea huh, i guess ill just throw it back on, thanks alot

keep it on, its not gonan hurt u for having it there. better safe then sorry. u don't rocks or something flying there and lodging itself stuck there.

Someone sit there and writes about came gear covers.. Read fly wheel cover yes keep it .. IT keep rocks,sand salt and everything else out of ur flywheel, clutch tranny and alll.. why run with out it no need if u dont have one go get one for cheap oflfline or at a junkyard.
