Default 5 lug ?

I was thinking about doing a 5 lug conversion on my EF, but was told I might need different knuckles. I tried to do a search, but found no info. Does anyone know what parts I would need to do this swap? Thanks.

There is a thread by "smokinsax" (I think) on here on how to do the ITR 5-lug conversion. Try searching for threads by him.

There was a page at the FF squad web site, but it looks like the site is down.

As I recall, the rear is an easy swap using ITR hubs and brakes.

The front is an issue and I know that he (Jason?) took new ITR hubs and had a machine shop turn them down so that they could be pressed into SI bearings. I'm not sure, but I think he was using 4 door EX knuckles or maybe DA knuckles in order to get the caliper to bolt up.

The ITR brakes are better than the DA ones (a common swap, which is what I have), but I don't think it's worth the cost.

You have to use 15" rims.

The only reason for doing it in my mind is for the "look" of 5 lug rims. I'd do it if I was trying to impress others.

Wes

Maybe he was one of the people that did it. Try searching "itr lug conversion" when search comes back up.

you can use itr rear setup but for the front you use the DA knuckles and then get a ITR hub and it has to be milled down to fit the DA wheel bearing and its all gonna work i will look for the link as its on my other computer and ill post up the how to for ya.

I have the measurement of a brand new DA/EX Hub around here somewhere, it is recommended though that you have one on hand for the machinist to measure before cutting down the ITR hubs.
