Default JDM hid question

Iam looking to upgrade to hid on my jdm front end but need some input. What would look best on a champ white car even thou there not all that much different. The 8k or 10k. And if any of you have some pics with them on send them. Also any input on what kits are good what to stay away from.

Why do you want 8-10K?

this brings up a question I have as well.

If you already own the factory HID frontend, can you put in different colored (i.e. different K ratings) HID bulbs? I mean do they make ones that fit the housing? Also, will the different bulbs work the same with the stock balasts?

Just wondering. I like the factory blue alot, but it seems that some of the other Acuras like the TL and TSX have a more purple light output. Just wondering whats compatible.

They aren't blue or purple, they all use the same 4300K capsules. The difference in appearance is a function of the projectors and housings, but the actual output is still white.

When you're at 8000-10,000K you're actually losing output, I suggest you stick with the OEM 4300

My OEM increased visibility gets me brighted wherever I go. They just love it when I bright them back. Muahahahaha

It sounds like they're either improperly aimed or the incorrect beam pattern for US roads.

i take it you haven't seen or used 8,000K HID's then?

i can see very well with them, they're still incredibly bright, they're just very blue at the same time

however, 4,300k gives better definition and more "depth", its easier to focus on things
