Valve lash adjustment Need help please......
I decided to do a valve adjustment after I had to replace my timing tensioner. I read up on it got the proper feeler gauges INTAKE: 0.006" - 0.007"
EXHAUST: 0.007" - 0.008"
I read up when you are doing it 0.007 should have slight drag too it but the 0.008 should not fit when your done so I did it exactly as I read it online but no luck at all sounds horrible what am I doing wrong????
I have a B16a head with Type r cams I don't believe that makes any difference someone if you have any advice at all please post away......its not the timing as well its dead on for anyone who might think thats my problem.

Ok the reason I first wanted too do my valves was because they were getting louder and louder I did a leak down test only 6-8% loss in each cylinder so I was pretty suprised after boosting it for over a month but I built the motor for a while but I have never learned how too do a valve lash adjustment figured it would be fairly simple. I also noticed my timing was a little bit off after re doing it a month ago because My tensioner bolt stripped out, after that first timing I knew it was not dead on because My car would die if I did not keep the timing fully advanced so I decided to get a new tensioner redo the timing and its dead on perfect. But then I wanted to do the valves since they were ticking and its really annoying getting louder and louder so I did it and I guess I threw them off real bad because it wont idle right and sounds like crap ticking real bad smells like a lot of fuel is dumping through my exhaust.....?
and the entire valve train is fairly new only about 3 months ago I got it out of the machine shop I was worried about hitting valves when my tensioner stripped lose but the vtec motors have more valve clearance I was not in vtec when it slipped and im running 8:1 comp pistons so there was not damage done....
