royal purple to coventional castol gtx
well....since putting in the synthetic royal purple my seals are leaking bad so I'm going to switch back to conventional oil and my question is is there anything I need to do to my motor before I switch....( i know its not good to switch but i need to)...thanks alot

i know oils can add some what of a protection on seals, but to blame it on royal purple is just ludicrous.
sounds to me it's time for seal replacement.

just fix the leaking seals. they are in pretty rough shape already if they are seeping. they are only going to get worse.

I don't think he's blaming Royal Purple. Synthetic oil is just able to get into places conventional oil is not, and any leak is amplified.

i've always just taken them to the machine shop and had them do it. you will have to pull the head to do so obviously.
