Do these compression numbers sound right?
Hi guys I have a sohc zc non vtec (same as the d16a6 with diff cam) and I recently went from the old asbestos gasket to a new oem honda d16 metal gasket.
I never checked the compression before the change so I don't know what it was at.
The person who did the change said compression was at 135 across the board. If it means anything I am at about 5000ft of altitude.
Does that sound really low or are those numbers normal?

I have never done one myself so I am not sure what you mean by wet test but he did put a little bit of oil in all cylinders before the first start up to help with lubrication.
adding oil to the cylinders during a compression test is actually a wet compression test...this way would yeild higher numbers than a dry test normally, however if the compression stays low w/ the oil in it, you may have smoked your piston rings
