how do i convert to obd1?
um....the easy way is to buy a obd 2 to obd 1 conversion harness jumper not unless u make ur own but why would u want to if u can just buy it for $50 on ebay.com, type in obd1 harness jumper...thats for the problem that u wanted to go obd1 but u would also need a obd1 ecu also!! but i think its still not going solve the problem that ur having because its the single cam ecu issue that not letting your motor take it over 115mph or 120mph!! if u want to go pass 115 then use the gsr ecu, find the 96 -98 gsr ecu or any 96-98 dual cam ecu!!!higher redline and higher mph!!!! but will use more gas...if your car is a v-tec then i perfer u use a v-tec ecu!!the 96-98 ecu is plug and play!!! obd1 is better but for ur result of wanted to go more than 115 i would go with dual cam ecu!! But at the same time why would u want to push your motor over its own limit....single is not made to push like dual cam...or the last thing u can do is have someone that i recommend that know how to chip ecu for u, thank you!

u are retarted haha
ok op you have to get any obd1 ecu and just get it chiped and wtf is the point of getting a dohc ecu for a soch? just get your speed gov removed and o yea put a gsr ecu in and say bye bye motor you redline is there for a reason !! hey civiccoupegsr go chip your ecu and redline at 10k then come back here and tell me how much faster you go for the 10 sec you have a running car and honestly what rpm are you at when your doing 115? bc i doubt your tranny is set up for highter mph * gear ratios* and you have the torque/hp to push your car faster than that

Jesus christ this thread is filled with bullshit.
A. You should not be going over 115mph, you will kill someone.
B. The gearing in your transmission won't let you go over 115mph
C. Converting to obd1 with a stock sohc would be a complete waste of money and time because you would need to get it tuned to run properly.
D. Please just unplug your ecu and throw it out the window...that way you won't harm any innocent people with your race car.

I wouldn't call 2000 rpms plenty to go unless you like running on the ragged edge all the time. Oh well why not beat the **** out of it maybe it will get you off the road faster before you kill someone when you blow up your little d screamer race car
