I don't know what year Accord you have but to my knowledge there are no mounts currently being made to mount the K series engine into a 2002 and lower Accord (obviously the newer 4cyl Accords have the K series to start with).

So the major CON would be that you would have to fabricate the mounts to fit it into the car.

It would probably be horrible lol. It took alot of time just to get K engine and tranny mounts in an eg or ek.

I don't think alot of people would want to bother because of the fact that the Accord is heavier.

Base hatches with a stock K20 have gone 12's on slicks

k series is probably one of Honda's if not the best i4 they have made. So if your comparing engines k series without a doubt... but h22 is also a good engine and all the money your gonna spend on swapping can go 2 other parts and tuning to the h22 to make quite an impressive engine.

I would recommend the H, it fits right in and gives you a bit more NA.
But don;t underestimate a boosted F block.

if you already have the H22 keep it, if you got money and you lookin to swap, build the H it will be aot better then a stock K, i have a mildly built F22b (usdm H23) and my buddys rsx-s only pulls like 2 cars on me

Hasport makes everything you need to swap a k-series in the 4th, and 5th gen accord.

http://www.hondatuningmagazine...-swap/

there are few accords running around with the swap.. and the cost of the swap is around 5-6k , just to get few more Hp and alot more torque. H22 is the best bang for your buck ... But I will agree with Bruce... Boosted f22 FTW

That's the key right there.

For the money. It is just the fact of saying you have a K series, paid for it, mounts, and what not.

If one has the money, it becomes that much easier to make the power with the K over *D/B/F/H/*

not that I know of. Yes they made a prototype setup (featured in that article) but they never actually produced the kit for sale for the K swap as far as I know.

do you have any links to said Accords with the K swap? As far as I know that was the only one and it was sold on eBay if I'm not mistaken.

Agreed, turns out, like most Honda Engines, the F22B1 engine was severely overengineered, and 2Point2Turbo, a car enthusiast, took this to his advantage, set a turbo on that engine, tuned the ECU to allow the Turbo to boost the car to its full potential, and now gaps modern challengers, mustangs. Obviously, F22 base Horsepower is much lower of that of the H22, but with a little effort, and tuning, the F22 can be a beast, as proved by 2Point2Turbo.

Oh SOHC hondas definitely can handle a reasonable amount of boost and power etc. Generally up to about 250hp is ok on stock components but after that you need to strengthen the internals to prevent failure.

The questiyon is whether you want to boost for power or be naturally aspirated,
