Default type R cams and jrsc?

I am now at the point where Im ready to make some more power on my ported jrsc setup and am looking into cams. I dont want to spray the 25 shot of nitrous just yet, even though when it cools the air for the blower I would see nearly 40 hp.
I am running a stock comp. gsr block with a B16 head and B16 cams. I have a fidanza flywheel (7.5 lbs), a ctr crank pulley(1.8 lbs), and a basically stock head. I was considering running gsr cams because they are relatively cheap, but was wondering if a jrsc would benifit from the higher lift ITRs or if overlap would be more of a problem with them. Should I just stick with getting the gsrs? What kind of power increase would I see? I want to keep the 8200 redline for reliabilty, so I dont really need a lot of top end power. Anyone running a similar setup?

you're going to see more power from the ITR cams, but on a JRSC'd car, i can't say exactly how much

yeah hard to say but people get gains from the n/a and awesome gains from turbo ed applications. I say give it a go!

well i know that in a situation like mine at the ~315whp mark, i'd probably pick up another 15whp or so from the cams and have more of a midrange.....i'm going to find a set over the winter hopefully....

try it and see what happens...i'm sure it will make power, but couldn't say how much

I would just stick with the GSR cams and dial in some over lap with some adj. cam gears and see if that helps you out in the rev range you are looking to increase.

Right now I'm on a vortech FMU and it runs pig rich! I'm still running the OBD 0 pw0 so tuning options are limited. It's funny when I shift high and blow blue/purple fireballs out of my stainless exhaust LOL. The FMU is pretty much at its reliabilty limit at ~9psi of boost.
I was looking into the water injection as a cheaper and safer alternative than the nitrous. Right now I'm just gathering ideas on gaining some more power for cheap since my setup holds far more potential than it's using now. I know tuning is the main step I need to take but I'm pretty much a newb at chipping/modding ecu's, as the only other boosted honda I had was tuned with hondata and it was tuned by somebody else.

I know I sound like a broken record , But I have seen the over all best power gains from a GSR intake Type R exhaust cam. Built and tuned many SC cars this with set up.
I would 100% go with a better mamangment. Z dyne would be a plug and play and is very reliable.
I'm not even going to push our intercooler, You need to get the basics first.

you can use turboedit, or BRE as well. BRE has thrice as many features.

theyre both free too.
