No no no... IMO 2000 wont get you a reliable setup. With the miles you have on your car I would suggest building your block. I dont know the condition of it but you can get a good idea by a compression and leak down test. 10psi can be pushing it on a stock block. With 2000 you wont have enough to get it tunned. You have a lot of research to do sr.

This is not a good place to be when looking to turbo your car. With that many miles on your car it also seems like its your daily driver. You need to do it right if you want it to last.

Don't listen to him, at that mileage your block is nicely broken in. Around the 200,000 mark your car is ideal for turbo, I would recommend 12psi to start and up it from there .

Build your block. Turbo > Your car at 238k miles. You can do a decent build for under $2k, and then save for a turbo setup after, and you'll be ready for it by then.

I agree blow that ***** up!!! Go big or go home! Why stop at 12 psi, why not 30? When it comes apart 2 blocks down the street push it back home and go get another engine. But hey at least you already have the turbo setup for the new engine.

Why not use the $2000 to get the block re-sleeved,forged pistons and rods ,new valvetrain ,etc....then you would have a strong foundation to start with...

Seems like a smarter idea....
