cambell hausfeld welders any good for doing body work/sheet metal?
no if its flux core, if it has gas it will still suck. i know from personal experience about 8 years ago. I bought real welders and will never go back

Can you get the gas kit for that easy ? How much does it cost ? That is a flux core straight out of the box. I would save and buy a lincoln.

You're right, but if your going to pay that much for a welder, just get a decent lincoln.

I have that one and it still kind of sucks a little bit. Not having infinite wfs and volt control sucks a nut on anything thinner than 16g.

Go to your local Lowes, Home Depot, etc. They should carry a few mig welders. You are probably looking at around 450 for the cheapest one. Then figure in gas, mask, and a few other odds.
Manbearpig: I want to do mainly, exhaust and intercooler piping. Maybe some sheet metal work. Mostly steel and ss, being open for aluminum. My budget is around 1k. What do you reccomend?

Although I cant answer on the cambell hausfield (sp?)that you are asking about, I recently bought a clarke mig 130en to replace my crappy hf flux core and for roughly your price range it works great and comes with the gas kit... of course then you want a cart and a gas cylinder and gas
