Default Air Conditioning Problem.

Hello. Any help in this is greatly appreciated

My a/c hasn't been working, but when i try and charge it, it says the pressure is too high.

I finally jacked up my car and looked at the compressor. To the right of the pulley. Or the end of the compressor there is a part that is loose and can be moved around quite easily. I am pretty sure their is a screw missing out of the end of it. Does anyone know the size of the screw/bolt that goes in there. Or is that part supposed to be lose.

I think it could be the a/c clutch not engaging? B/c you can pull it out about an inch and spin it freely, or push it in and it spins the system? Anyone know what I should do in this situation? go to the dealer and ask for that bolt?

I tried searching. But the entire search function has been down all day. Just returns "search failed, try again later" everytime i try. Is the part on the very right end of the compressor supposed to turn when you turn the a/c on? 01 gsr btw. Thanks guys.

was the pressure high on both sides?
one side? which one
because a HI PRES LOW SIDE
and a low pres hi side indicates a blown compressor

Im not sure how to check for that exactly. I just hooked the recharge kit up to it, and the display says the pressure is excessive and that recharging will not help.

Just went to the dealership and ordered number 8, the bolt that goes into the end of the clutch. Not sure if that could fix it, but it is defiantly missing it. Thanks for help guys. Its supposed to be here next week.

Got the screw into the end of the a/c clutch. Fixed the problem completely. But it isn't blowing cold enough air imo. When i put the charging can on the low side of the system it reads extremely high pressure. Is there anyway I can make it blow colder air? Bleed the system and whatnot?
