I have civic 96 ex coupe swap with a 96 gsr motor also.. when i swaped the gsr in my coupe, No checks engine light or anything come on the cluster...it was done pretty clean...i used mine original ex harness..but when i first drove it couple times, i notice that there were something that was wrong with the motor or the car i wasnt so sure.....<U>the problem was like...kinda a little kick back or all the sudden like slow the car a little bit and then drived back up to normal</U>...but it was only rarely doing that problem like maybe once every 2 or 3 months....and i have mine swap for 8 months now....<U>this problem started 3 weeks ago everytime i drive it now, its started to be doing it bad when i just hooked up mine audio system...i hooked up my audio system for 2 days and thats when the same problem kick in everytime i drive it now...so now i disconnected my audio system, and it seem that the problem is doing everytime i drive my car now still and when it wants to...the only thing i know is that when the problem kicks in, it slow my motor,sometime bobs, and MAJor of the TIME my RPM jumps back to 0....its usually happen when its on 2 to 3 thousand RPM! If i go pass 3,500 RPM than its seem to be fine most of the time....</U> This is what i have try to fix the problem so far; <U>i Changed the battery, Alternator, Sparkpug( NGK), ECU and added 6 more ground</U>s.... <U>So mine Question is, What esle can it be please help me?</U>Oh and this problem is always accur, mine powerlight from the cluster would be dim for 1 minutes and the other minutes it wont be anymore..So what can that also be???

Use a volt meter and check the voltage at the battery. Then, check it at your fuse box at the wire comnig from the battery. Check both at the actual wire terminal and the flat spot the terminal hooks to. See if there is any voltage drop or if your voltage is low (anything below 12.5 volts, I consider low) If you have an old school volt meter with a needle, you can hook it up full time and put it on your windshield or run it in the car and road test it. See what the voltage does when the car does it's thing. Also, you did scrape away the paint/rust when you installed your grounding kit, right? You can have 50 ground wires but if they aren't getting good contact, they will do nothing for you.

i check its not mine ground, umm do ya think it can be mine bottom block, timing or distrubitor? those are the three main thing that can also be doing that....which one do you can think it can be? or any sensor? can the fuel pump work sometime and sometime not, anyone???? or what about mine fuel injector??? or anything that can be kinda of clog up??

 

i have the same problem only my car idles from 1 and a half to 2 rpm, you migh wana check u intake air temperature sensor. or check if your intake hoses are properly on!

 

no mine car doesnt idle like that, when the motor is on, i mean just on... sometime i gased without driven it, i try to rub the rpm to 6, sometime it bogs my motor and <U>all i see is the rpm is eirther stuck where its at like at 3,000rpm...or the RPM bounce back..</U>


well sorry everybody but it was mine 3rd ground after all!!! i didnt know that mine 3rd ground was lose at the motor...so yup all i did was a tight up on it and there goes mine v-tec baby again...thanx to all yuh that help!!!Now i can bump mine system again!!!
