Default Put in a new short block and now my car won't start, WTF?

Cracked a sleeve on my other B16, so I decided to swap in a new short block.

I put in a for sure known running block, but I also used the thickest head gasket cometic makes. First time I screwed up and put the head gasket on upside down, but luckily i had two so I redid it all and did it right the second time around.

Anyway, my car is cranking but not starting.

Here is what i know:
Mail relay clicks
Compression is 150 150 150 150
I can hear the fuel pump priming
Ground is on the thermostat
Plugs have fuel on them
Plug wires are on the right way
99.9% sure timing is spot on

What I changed since my last setup:
Went from CROME to Neptune
Edelbrock Victor X manifold
Edelbrock fuel rail
Walbro 255 HP (from 190)
New battery

Ah but did you check for actual spark?

+1 for checking for spark.

Also, Walbro 255 high pressure is known to make your base fuel pressure skyrocket with some FPRs, factory or not.

Given the fact you are cranking a cold engine (cold enrichment aka rich), are on a basemap with the new EMS (rich), your fuel pressure might be jacked (255HP, rich), and the plugs are wet (rich)... you might be choking the engine on fuel.

If you have spark, clean/dry or preferrably replace the sparkplugs. Disconnect the injectors at the resistor box or the deadman's plug on the driver's shock tower. Try starting the engine on ether which will help get her running on gasoline when you hook the injectors back up.

Is there a way to check spark on my own? I have no one here to help. Is there something I can go buy?

Sorry for being a PITA but the search is down and it's really inconvenient to have no search right now.

Just take one of your spark plug wires off the spark plug and crank the motor while having the end near something metal, and see if the spark jumps, be careful not to shock yourself!

I know about that way, but how do you crank the motor when you are the only person working on your car?

Anyway, where I'm at now is I can get it to run but not keep running.

It seems like Neptune hate RC750's though.

Did you scale back? Cause that's like 3x larger injectors, and also with a 255 lph its quite possible ur fuel pressure is like 60 psig at idle. lawl.
