2003 Civic DX: Oil?
As stated in the title my GF has a 2003 Civic DX (80,000 miles),. We live in the PNW and i wanted to know if there are any opinions on a good oil filter and type of oil (EX. Castrol, Syntac, etc). Also weight would be very helpful.
Right now i am using fram filters and 10w-30 from Castrol.
Cheers to those that read and reply.

id suggest honda filters, reasonably priced when purchased online, and they filter really well. as for oil and weight, any 5w20 should do. i wouldnt go for the expensive oil unless she does a ton of stop and go, if it's all highway, any old conventional oil will do. stock d17 engines arent picky.

you can buy in bulk to save money, be sure to get the oil drain plug washers too, you should be replacing it each time you change the oil.
