Default Alpine nuts and audiophiles needed

I was handed a alpine IVA-C801 in dash monitor as a gift. No knowledge of if it works or not. I finally got around to pulling the thing out of the box today and looking at it. My question is the plug on the back has the standard wires (red, yellow, black) all going to standard places (acc, batt, ground), now if i wire them up accordingly the unit should for the most part turn on. Im wanting to know if it even works before i go into further investigation.

The box I have has no manuals, and I'm going off what the unit says on the wiring sticker.

Correct. Black goes to ground, yellow to constant 12 volts and red to accessory 12 volts.
