Default Quotes from a Dealer ok?

got my oil changed today and they told me some things i needed to fix so i wanted to know if anyone thinks these quotes aren't to high lol.

Air Filter is like 40
Transmission Service-Guessing changing the fluid-80
Coolant Service-80 bucks-250
Front Brake Job w/ the rotors resurfaced-250
Alignment-100
Tires-300 But not to sure about this one.
Cat Heat Shields 240(but for this i get a whole exhaust system lol

I got warranty on the car so ima check if they cover anything. but anyone know a cheaper way to do some of these things or is it a good price

i think the only thing warranty will cover is the cat heat shields cause everything else is regular services.

the air filter is easily changeable by urself. you pop off a few screws and the filter pretty much slides off and u slide a new one in there.

i'd pay 80 for them to change the tranny fluid simply because i hate dealing with it.

coolant only needs to be changed every 100k miles. there is a drain plug on the bottom of the radiator which u pull out and drain all the fluid out. i dont know if they actually flush your coolant system, but when i do it myself, i do. I put the drain back in and fill it up with water and let me car run until i see water movement inside the radiator. i let it run for about a minute, then i turn off the car. depending on how clear it is the second time around, i generally stop there and fill it up with 1 part coolant 1 part DISTILLED water.

for the brakes, you can get new rotors AND pads for under 250. i think 250 is a bit steep imo.

u can find alignment shops around for like 40-60 dollars.

The OEM tires suck ***. they're loud, they suck at gripping, the treadwear sucks, and they are REALLY expensive.

I agree with Black92DA. Your cat heat shield should be covered by the warranty (and i think it goes FAR beyond your standard warranty). They're just forcing you into buying an entire exhaust system, which is absolutely not needed.

The trans fluid is very easy. If you can change your oil you can do this. Takes about 20 min to do and there is a DIY with pics on clubrsx that you could find.

The brakes are fairly easy and I am sure anyone could walk you through it. There is a DIY on this at ephatch.com

Coolent it is your choice. I would do it myself buy there is not a DIY for you to look at.

Air filter is easy.

Alignment should be done by them unless you want to set up a DIY rack which is a pita
