2005 v6 tranny oil change
Car seemed to be shifting hard on downshift and hesitating a little when shifting up. Pulled the plug and drained tranny, put in a little over 3 qts of honda fluid and it seems to have smoothed out. 56,000 miles and i think it was the first change(bought it used with 40,000 last year. Fluid looked dirty but i've seen worse.

I change out 3 quarts every 15k miles, or whatever it takes to keep the fluid clean. There is a filter you can change also. I've changed the filter twice so far on my 03 in 106k miles.

Here's a DIY. Like he said, the bottom bolt on the cover is hard to get to, but it's doable. You have to take out the air filter box, which is pretty easy. I don't think I removed the battery.

Honda AT V6 cna be finiky. If it works (ATF drain & fill) I would continue to do that. I've read that when owners open up the AT, things end up happening when it didn't happen before. Meaning, example, if there are junk in the AT, let it be there. Lossening it up will move it to a place that will cause problems.
I would do the 3X drain and fill before doing more. It may seem like a waste of ATF, but that first if you wish.
