Default Fuel Relay

Annyone have trouble with your fuel relay . Im on my third fuel pump . I replace it and it fails within a week and im now considering the problem being held within my relay switch . That would mean that rather than the pump being in question lack of power to the pump would be the main issue. What do you think ?

What year of lude? ?

On 4th gen's the fuel pump runs through the Main Relay. Search for Main relay.

I probably was the relay the whole time, relay fails= no power to pump.

Didn't the person who worked on your car test for that? If my dumbass can use a multimeter then everyone can.

im having a fuel relay related problem. do u hear ur fuel pump kick? i dont, and my car wont start. i have a walbro fuel pump that was changed about 2 years ago, so i dont think that is my problem. so im assuming that my problem is my fuel relay. i was driving and i hit a bump, and then the car shut off. i tried to restart it and it only cranks, but it wont start. and like i said i dont hear the fuel pump kick while the key is in the on position. could it be fuel pump or is it more likely that its the relay? it was 90+ degrees out today...but i didnt have any problem starting it all day, until i hit the bump.

sorry to thread jack, but any ideas?

Could be a poor connection when whoever installed your fuel pump, but i'd try a known good relay 1st.
