Default car trouble

my itr is really slow all of a sudden... there are no unusual sounds or anything i havent looked at anything yet. i was thinking maybe a fouled spark plug, ill start from there hopefully its nothing major. if its not that an other ideas?

check your oil, plugs, wires, cap/rotor, valve lash

i built his car when he totalled his old one i did a compression test and it was good but i think your still burning oil bad right? i think he should maybe get a leak down test done. i think we did new plugs, wires, cap and rotor on it when it was swapped.

Has your friend said when the loss of power occurs? What RPM range? Smoking at all?

im not sure talk to him the other day and he finally got rid of a walmart air filter and put on a k&n and it felt better, havent talk to him lately and saw this post, it smokes pretty good in vtec, not sure if it does below that

Check the voltage on your TPS during driving... My car feels sluggish as **** from time to time, REAL hard to get going from first, if I rev the engine and try to hold it at a steady RPM (Say, 2,000RPM), it will stay there for a brief moment, then fall down back to idle, at the same throttle position.

Had the TPS checked while driving, and it's not reading proper voltage. So I'm getting a new throttle body, and hoping it clears my problem up. It really makes the car VERY unenjoyable to drive.

sorry i havent had use of the computer, but it was fouled spark plugs. i pulled them out and 1 was fouled and all the others were in pretty bad shape.


now all is well, and shes running good, thanks guys
