How much are Type-R's worth these days??
I am wondering what the going rate on a 1998 type-r is now. thanks for the info. yeah i know that it all matters what shape the car is in, how many miles they have and what mods are done. I just want the high and the low ends of the spectrum

KBB is totally unrealistic for our cars. Find me ITRs at the prices they quote, and I'll buy a dozen of 'em.

that's why I put (KBB Value) x 2... Even that was a joke, but sometimes not that far off.

I thought 12,500 was a steal too, i just cant seem to get a deal to go through.
if you want i can add up all the products and list the retail price. I also have a set of cpo-35s that i am giving with the car. 3/4 have cracks but hey its a cpo-35! plus all the stock parts i have left over.
when you nickel and dime something that **** adds up fast; trust me!

The mods are the problem. Too many people think that mods add to the value of the car. In most cases, they don't. They limit the potential market for the car, because most people don't want to buy a heavily modded car. Even people who like mods, like to decide on what mods to put on. And any time you cut down drastically on how many people would be interested in your car, it means it will be tougher to sell, which also means you probably will get less money for it.
If that car were bone stock, you could probably sell it for $12,500 or close to it. It's just really hard to sell a heavily modded car for the same price as a bone stock one would sell for.
And this has nothing to do with my own personal preference, one way or another; it's based on what I've seen other cars go for, and how easy they are to sell.
(This is why you should spend money on mods only based on how much added enjoyment you will receive from owning the car that way, and NOT based on any hope that they will increase the value of your car when you eventually sell it.)

Im not trying to get any value from my mods. I am selling a type-r for 12500! To me just a few months ago that would be a freaking steal. Not to mention the modifications added to the car. If the car wont move as is i will put the stock parts i have back on it and part this sucker out. That will happen if i dont sell it by sep. But we shall see...
