Default How much Have your ITRs sold for (Lets show our Book value)

Ok, so I just got this bug in my head. With a lot of people having to deal with their cars being stolen or wrecked and insurance trying to screw them over, I figured it be nice to have a thread about what others have sold their ITRs for.

This will be an outlet for us and Insurance agents to use as a tool to better and more accurately quote an amount that is fair to both parties.

The information I think that should be posted is just basic info. Year, Color, State, Mileage, Condition, Mods, Pertinent Incident information, How much you bought the car for and how much you've invested.

What do you guys think?

Sounds like a good idea.

Pertinent Incident Info probably wouldn't be involved with how much you sold your ITR for.

Ok well... Just sold Mine so its a good reference

1998 CW ITR
Stock - Never Modded
70k Miles
Optional Sideskirt & Rear Valences (Factory Painted CW)
JDM 16's in White
Fog Light Kit
Overall 9.5 out of 10 Condition
Clear Title - No Accidents
South Carollina/GA Area

$17,500 - Hassle Free - Took 24 hours to sell and I had 4 people praying the sale would fall through so they could jump on it. To be honest I think I could have easily gotten $18,500. Only places that knew about my car for sale was Honda-Tech and ITRCA.

If possible, a link to a for sale thread/ad might go a long way as well.

only reason i said this, is for wreck/stolen claims. this way insurance cant just say "Oh, yours is wrecked worse, etc"

I've only resold one ITR for $17,500. It was a '00 FBP with 50k in great shape with just a DC catback and fogs. That was about four years ago.

When I sell my '97 I'll update.

Just sold mine about a month ago.
I actually had a hard time selling mine. Mine was for sale for about 4-5 months. I had everyone offering me like 15k when i was asking for 17k.

I sold it for $16,200
Stock. only had 4.9 ATS final drive and TODA clutch and flywheel.
clean title. no accidents.

i think this is a great idea. i think the above bolded items are the critical items to note as i've been (un)fortunate to have to have dealt with my insurance company on claims and that's what they needed. state farm wanted to see for resent sale ads for a similar vehicle: make/model/trim along with year, mileage, condition, and closeness to my location (ie: KC, MO). The closeness to your location is key because cars in certain areas (ie: southern california) get sold/appraised for more than say the midwest.

Purchased mines back in Oct. of 2004. 1998 ITR with 76k miles @ the time for 13,500. Call me stupid but the owner wanted 14 then dropped to 13 but I gave him 13,500 cause even so, I feel like I was getting the better deal. It was completely stock! & in mint condition. Now it's 100k miles and sitting nicely in my garage until I finish school.
