Just seeing if there are an precautions i should take in waxing my hood.
I never thought about it until today but planning on waxing next week.
Just seeing if it matters or not? or i should do it by hand?

Doesn't matter, your hood should have a decent clear coat on it...

I've hand waxed a carbon hood before. No biggie.

I feel totally ghey answering this but, YES I've handwaxed my CF wing on the EVO.

It has a clearcoat but I always prep it first by cleaning it with Dawn dish soap, to strip anything left already, then I usually wash it again with Meguires Gold Class soap, then I claybar it (Meguires or Mother's), then I polish it with a DA polisher and Mothers Power Polish, then I use Meguires #26 liquid Carnuba Wax and apply it with a Polishing pad and wipe it off, comes clean as a whistle and looks awesome in the sunlight

The milky spots are most likely fallout or hard water spots, that can e removed with a good hand polish or easily with a DA polisher.

some cf hoods are gel coated and not clear coated, if thats the case then you would have to use a boat wax, if you use reg wax on a gel coat hood, it will seal the surface and the gel coat would not be able to breath, causing it to break down sooner, so make sure you know what kinda surface your working with

I have waxed a CF hood before. No different than just washing and drying it to be honest.
