Full F & R NSX caliper conversion. Anyone have this setup on EG or DC?
Hi, I just purchased a full set of 99 NSX calipers for my EG. I already know exactly what I need to get the fronts working properly, but I have some concerns regarding the rears. I cantacted fast brakes, and they do have the caliper brakets for 92-03 NSX calipers to bolt up to the EG rear. I've searched, but does anyone actaully have a full set currently on there car? I heard of some people saying that the rear NSX calipers tend to lock up, becasue they were designed for a mid-engine car, and EG's have almost no weight in the back. Just want some input before I spend another 300 on rear brackets and rotors... Thanks.

he made a conversion chart, I suggest you browse through some of his created threads, I'm sure he's posted details on his own nsx brake swap. He usually does.

I've read that link, but my main concern is the rears locking up if I decided to install the rear NSX calipers. I would like to get some real world experiance from someone who has this setup. It would look so sweet to have F & R NSX calipers, but I don't want a setup that looks good but has locking issues.
Hey guys. Ok I have NSX front calipers on my EK, 11.1" front rotors. My backs are 10.2" ITRs. This has essentially the bias of an ITR, give or take a little, and it will lock all 4 wheels evenly almost all the time, so you're using its limit. The NSX rear caliper uses a much bigger pad and also a taller pad, giving a larger sweep on the rotor. Given the increase, if you wanted a near stock bias, I would reccomend pairing this with bigger than an 11.8" front setup (there exists an 11.8" NSX setup using pretty good sized pads). I would actually reccomend bigger than that to pair with the NSX rear setup. Unfortunatly given the brackets, the biggest tested setup I've found is the 11.8" rotor, any bigger I haven't tested or built. I have a 12.3" and 12.6" Acura RL (4 piston) setup coming, tho you will have Acura on the front and NSX on the back.
I don't know if the NSX bracket has to be tapped, my only confirmation is that the NSX rear caliper CAN go on the back. A guy with a RWD integra had these on and he mentioned using the 10.3" FRONT vented discs from a civic EX/Integra. I sold my rear NSX calipers quickly a few months ago without getting to test them and believe me I regret it. This RWD Integra is the only car I know to use both the front and rear NSX calipers on his car.

Thanks for the input. There's not much discussion about rear NSX calipers on HT... Based on the info I've found so far, it's probably best if I just do the NSX calipers in the front. Thanks again.
