Headers = not able to pass emissions?

Default Headers = not able to pass emissions?

I was listening to a few people that believe that if I put a header and add exhaust I'm not gonna be able to pass the emissions for next year.......help me out here...'cause back in my country we don't have that much regulations and ****.

If your header does not have a CARB exemption, it will not pass a visual portion of smog

If you bought a CARB legal header, there would be no problem.

Haha, you're from San Rafael too, huh? Small world. Don't live there anymore, but I'm from there.

Yeah, you'll be fine with the gains a CARB legal header will give you, provided you're not building a full-race engine. In which case you shouldn't have to worry, since that car wouldn't be on the road anyway. Just get the CARB Legal header, it's worth not getting hassled. Trust, I'm a Two-Time ref visitor.

If you have a sohc you'd be better off just getting a y8 header.

Lol, true. They won't even look for a CARB number on those since they assume it's stock, and you'll save your money that you'd otherwise spend on a CARB legal header. However, if bling is a factor for your personal tastes, then go aftermarket CARB legal.
