smog + aftermarket ecu
Hi guys --- I'm in a bit of a pickle...
last year I got my car B.A.R.'d at a referee station and now its time to get it smogged again..
The only modification that has been done since it smogged at the referee station with "flying colors" was my ecu. I am now running a chrome chip. Went to get it smogged and now its classified as a gross polluter.
So, is the chip the culprit? and I have the obd2 chip ready to replace if this is it.
Thanks

well i bar'd my car with a hondata ecu and had no issues. but i needed the ECU to pass smog in the first place. if you can make sure that your ECU is tuned to 14.7 Air Fuel Ratio, after that you should pass with no issues.
otherwise slap in your stock ECU.

yea, you need to be under 100 HC at idle i think. you do have a thermostat right?
put a stock ecu vback in. your not gonna pass smog with any aftermarket chip. unless its tunned to your car.
