INSTALLING COILOVERS...PLEASSSSSSSSE HELP!!!
DO I HAVE TO BUY AFTERMARKET SHOCKS WHEN I INSTALL MY COILOVERS? I WANT TO INSTALL THESE PROFESSIONALLY BUT A MECHANIC TOLD ME WHEN I USE COILOVERS SAY I DROP IT 2 INCH FRONT AND REAR HE SED THAT IT WILL HIT SEWER COVERS AND POTHOLES SO I WAS WONDERINS SINCE I LIVE IN BOSTON MASS YOU THINK AFTER MARKET SHOCKS ARE GOOD TO GET AND WHAT ARE YOUR RECOMDATIONS ON SHOCKS/STRUTS........???THANK YOU
If you're installing sleeve coilovers, yes you will have to get aftermarket shocks as well because the oem ones will eventually blow. If you're getting complete coilovers you don't need to buy new shocks since they come with em
Its better to get aftermarket shocks as mentioned. My friend had a sleeve over from ebay on stock struts...POS ride but then its ebay what do you expect. My other friend that had Konis/GC on his car rode a lot better.
