You don't have to take out the engine... its a pretty simple job, I was able to do it myself in just a couple of hours and I'm not very experienced with working on cars. Do you have a 4cyl or a v6?

Um, not really familiar w/ Accords, but in a Civic or Integra, even around 94 Accords it is really simple, 10 minutes.

Just unbolt the stock header from the block and cat.

It should take a couple of hours not because its anything too involved but mostly due to stubborn bolts.

Ok well it seems you got your bolts off ok, I'm glad for you. But for the majority of us the bolts were pretty fucked, just sprayin some pb and wd40 didn't cut it.

Approx 2hrs at the most to do it in the garage/driveway with a couple of jack stands, all new bolts, spring kit, gaskets and a cutting torch, grinder or a Dremel. F#@k the Wd40 crap. That will do nothing for the lower exhaust bolts that have been on a car for any more than a year in Canada. May work in a southern state that gets no rain. The manifold to head bolts are usually no problem and can be re-used.

Cut off the old crap is the easiest way to go with exhaust.....

Woah this is my 3rd or 4th post in one of your threads Thambi.

Headers on a V6 mine be kinda hard in my opinion. Never tried it. But one thing is for sure, Honda has made the worst V6 header system. Your friend might be wrong for telling you to remove the engine. It might be easier, but doubt it. removing headers from that little space is hard too. I suggest getting the car on a lift or jack it up high SAFELY!

Jack up the car and see if you can get to the header bolts.

BTW remember to replace and gaskets you take out. You don't want to do this job oover.

you can get a throttle body spacer without a new throttle body. that's what i am doing right now but it seems like a lot of people havn't gained power out of it so if you wanna wait i can tell you if it's worth the 90 bucks lol. you don't have to but 90 bucks is a good chunk of change for me anyways.

alright i just put in my tbs and i have felt some power increase. however i got mine done at a shop. if you choose to get one, i would recommend you do it yourself. i got lazy. it's worth the money you pay for the part, but don't waste anymore on professional installation.

Ahhh... Like what was said... Installing headers on a v6 accord is a b!tch---there is Little space to work with. But what could be done is to take off the cover on the bottom of the car to get to the bottom-front half of the engine--the header is right there, it's just finding a way to get it out that becomes the problem. Since space is limited.
