Recently my right side lighting in my ef8 cluster died. It worked fine before hand, parked it one night, came back an hour later, started it up, and only the left side of the cluster lights up. Cluster works fine, just a royal pain in the night. I took it apart and it's not the bulbs. I'm thinking a short in the circuit board on the back of the cluster? Anyone else run into this problem? tia.

 

mine does the same thing and it is either the left side or the right side but never the whole thing at once. Usually though mine will come back on and work fine for a while and then mess up again. I have just been too lazy to figure out what is wrong.

 

my right side has never come back. Just enough to annoy you. I think it might be in the cluster- just dread the thought of having to buy another cluster if the circuit board is beyond repair- for a stupid light problem. Anyone else?

 

well i decided to take out my cluster today and look for the problem and i discovered that one of the wires for the dimmer switch had been cut and then just twisted back together. And nobody ever put electrical tape or butt connected it like they should of so that must of been hitting the metal that holds the cluster in place. Since i was out of butt conectors i just wrapped it up with electrical tape and i will post if it ever has trouble lighting again.
