Default spark plugs for 400-500 hp

what spark plugs are u guys using for 400-500hp cars. how much colder should they be. they are going in an h22. if someone could give me a part number for the proper nkg plugs that would be great. thanks!

i use ngk #9 600hp+ here with no problems..gap them at .028

those will foul out fast on his setup you shoudl just use a 7 if spark is blowing out switch to an 8

The plugs your looking for are stock # 3330 ( bcpr7es) . I'm making 450 whp on my h22 daily .

stop being lazy

anyways, good old copper bkr7e is the plug you want. ngk stock number 6097. the bcp will work as well. might want to go to 8's after 500whp.

i dont think heat range will really affect spark blow out. reducing the gap will fix that. heat range has to do with keeping the tip at the correct temp to avoid fouling and pre-ignition.
