You want a rainbow of colors in your car? Or you want stock colored parts?

I must be confused what you are asking. Colored parts? My CRX has colored parts on it...the interior is black and gray and the outside is black, silver and bronze.

What are you asking? Are you wanting to do the screw driver mod?

No you can't really buy colored parts.

You are speaking of the screw driver mod. Anything you can take off with a screw driver relatively easy and paint. This mod NEVER looks good and is ALWAYS associated with rice.

And you will be upset later on when you get through this phase and have a trashed interior. Ask a few that have done it and have converted back to stock.

only do it if you are going to remove everything out of the interior and redo it in a beige/tan like the exclusive:

notice how EVERY SINGLE piece is done, carpet and seats included. (few of these were made, and these interiors have sold on ebay for like $1400-1500 if you were wondering.)

if you are planning on removing the speaker grills to paint them blue, DO NOT DO IT.

it looks so awful, and the car will begin to exhibit strange, random and difficult to fix problems.

ok i made that last part up, but don't do, the clowns will eat you.

im serious.

and when they're done eating you, theyll probably steal your car too since the painted interior pieces will match their outfits:

(joking btw)

i don't think you understand, there were very few of those made, and the ones that have been stripped for parts and sold went for ridiculous money.

i was just trying to give you the only example of colored interior that doesn't ruin the car.

if you wanted to make a replica of that, that might be cool, but itd take weeks of work.

theres no "links to buy parts" when there were like 500-1000 of the cars ever made, and they only existed in japan, and were produced 16-17 years ago.

its just not that simple.

my point is this, dont paint your **** unless you have the ***** to do the whole thing, and make it tasteful.

the money spent on the paint is better spent on gas to make the car move, its THAT unnecessary. worry about making the car go.

if youd like some tips on restoring your interior check out my thread here:

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1701519

(about 1/2 way down is some tips to making the interior nice again.)

thats money well spent if you really care that much about the interior.

im an interior guy, so i can understand where your coming from about "upgrades" so to speak, but there isnt much you can do without making it look like ****.

theres hundreds of cars on cardomain.com with painted interior panels, its rice and it doesnt help the car move, and is not worth the time.

on of the reasons crx's are cool is the interior is very subtle, almost elegant in its simplicity.

what happens if you paint like 5-6 things WHITE or some ****, is it draws attention to how the whole car is just a bunch of plastic and phillips head screws, and how the lines are in fact quite dated.

when its left oem, it doesnt draw unwanted attention to these areas and looks better overall.

seriously, worry about keeping it clean, and restore it if you want to go all out.

otherwise, save your money and make the car perform. ok?
