I would highly doubt a shop would offer that. If you want it financed get yourself a credit card with a low APR and put the job on that, or take out a personal loan for the price of the job.

yup, all of those are true. i have the cash to pay for the paint job, its just that i kinda want to hold on to it just in case of an emergency. i hate credit cards too, just paid 15k worth of debt. im not doing that again. im thinking more about like an automatic deduction from a checking account, $200-$500 a month is better than dropping 2k-5k+ all at once. anyway, that was just an idea. hehe! it would be very nice though if shops would do something like that

You would have to find a gay shop owner and some knee pads, then maybe.

Using a credit card the right way will boost your credit score and save you $$ in the long run if you have to finance future large purchases though.

Auto painting is really big in CA, I think if you seek out a good painter that does side work you could save some dough. Ask around at some auto paint suppliers, they usually know regulars that do side work. Thats a kick *** credit score you have
yeah credit cards do suck, your pretty much forced use them if your not a billionare.

thats a good idea, i'll think about that. the only thing is that, how can they guarantee their work?

like i said, i have the cash to pay for the paint job. my question is, how can i break down the payments so it wont hurt on the pocket that much by paying it all at once and still have money in case of an emergency...
ah f**k it. i guess im making it complicated for myself. i'll just wait and save some more
i just think auto body shops will get more business if they have some kind of a financing option because it'll be easier on the pocket. i know alot of people that wants to get a paint job but it's too expensive, thought this would cure the problem.

This sounds more like a "help me with my finances thread" than an autobody thread. Come on man, do you think if a shop offered financing it would be a good interest rate? If your credit score is so high, why don't you pay with a no interest credit card and pay it off before they hit you with finance charges.
btw , most shops are payed 90% by insurance companys anyway. Financing would be one more headache a shop doesn't need.

first of, i dont need help with my finances. i just want to stay debt free again by staying away from credit cards, atleast for awhile. that's why i was just wondering if there's an auto body shop/s out there that would offer some kind of payment options. i guess not
it was just a wild idea. but i agree with you, i guess it would be alot of hassle to have it. there goes that idea...
