Default Electric cooling fan and radiator question.

Im begining to install my setup. Ive noticed that my stock fans are kinda close to the turbo. So Im thinking of either running two slim fans or buying a civic radiator with one 12inch fan.

Im clueless on what I should do, if I go the half size rad am I going to want like a high performance one?.

turn your fan around & use it as a pusher instead of a puller to give u more room

Yeah, you will be fine with a civic radiator with a pusher fan.

So if I keep my integra rad, then run two 12inch slim fans will that be good aswell.

That would be fine as well. It's totally a judgement call on your part. If you still have room, I would keep the integra radiator with pusher fans. Do you still have AC?

well then you kinda have to keep the full rad then right? you cant run a/c off just a civic 1/2 rad.

You can, but the AC hoses will still kind of be in the way.

Ive heard that if I go with a half size rad its going to hurt my a/c performance.

Also if it helps this is a 98 integra gsr. My setup is a garrett t3to4e 57trim turbo, inline pro t3 manifold, and a tial 38mm wastegate.

So that should give you guys a better idea.

i have a similar setup, same size turbo...i kept my stock radiator and replaced the stock a/c fan with one of those autozone 10 inch ones, that freed up some room. still have the stock rad fan but it's a tight fit...no probs tho

depending on where you live and how hot it gets in the summer, going to a 1/2 size radiator can make cooling the car a little more tricky. Ive got a 95 prelude with a turbo h23. I put in a 1/2 size aluminum radiator and I also kept my AC. I am currently running 3 electric fans and on days when the temp gets above 90 I have to be careful how much I run the AC or the whole system will overheat. I have a 12" thin puller on both the condenser and radiator and an additional 6" pusher mounted on the condenser in front of the radiator. For the most part they keep up with the heat pretty well and I really like having the extra space in front of the turbo components.

Where I live the hotest it normally ever gets here is 91. Im thinking that if I just go with two 12inch slim fans, one being a pusher and one being a puller it might suit everything better.

Stick with the full size radiator/2 fan setup if you still have room for the turbo/wastegate/downpipe
