just wondering the right way to do the timing on my sohc zc

you set the crank to tdc then set the cam gear/cam to tdc slide belt on

 

how do you tighten up the belt i got it timed but my belt is loose..do i just loosen the tensioner and then turn the crank or wat..and if so how many times do i turn the crank

if ur belt is loose, loosen the tensioner, its probably bad, so take a hanger and pull the spring up then tighten it and it will be tight GL!

Usually most timing are required every x0,000 miles. Just get tooth for tooth. No hassle. Should be good and sounds good.
Make sure all the seals are oiled. Job well done.

 

It times the same as a D16A6. The cam gear has to be lined up at the offset marking, then slide the belt on, turn the engine counter clock wise to get tension on the belt, then tighten the tensioner bolt. Very close to that but ive had both motors. Just dont have my manual in front of me.
